LGBTQ+, Adults, Couples, Teens, Families
As a therapist, I have experienced the privilege of providing therapy and supporting my clients through periods of hurt, joy, and transformation. First and foremost, I aim to create a safe space for my clients. I do so by fostering an environment where vulnerability and authenticity coexist.
If you find yourself in a state of hurt, confusion, or simply looking for a change, I am here to facilitate that growth and exploration.
Areas of focus: I work with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples tackling therapeutic issues that include anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, marital conflict, gender dysphoria, and sexuality. I also work with teens/tweens in special education who are struggling to fit in school.

My practice as a therapist is rooted in multiple modalities, but I often take a strength-based approach while also exploring attachments in past and present relationships. I’ll ask questions about your upbringing and FAMILY DYNAMICS. In addition, we will discuss the ways in which your identity and lived experiences play a role in your life.
I completed my practicum with the LGBTQ Center in Orange County, gaining clinical skills and expertise working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender non-binary, questioning, and queer-identified INDIVIDUALS and COUPLES.
In addition to my training at the LGBTQ Center OC, I also have extensive experience working with PRE-TEENS and TEENS with mild to moderate disabilities. I have worked in schools as a mild/moderate special education teacher and coordinator for over six years. My experience as a special education teacher and coordinator has allowed me the privilege of working with students diagnosed with ADHD, autism, specific learning disabilities, and emotional disturbance. Through my experience, I’ve found a strength in working with students who often struggle to fit into school.
Along with students, I also work very closely with FAMILIES and CAREGIVERS to ensure that their students are supported and feel successful in the school environment. The world of special education and the education system can be confusing and hard to navigate as a parent/caregiver. I work with families to better understand and advocate for their child’s well-being.
I also am interested in somatic-based practices, which incorporate the mind, body, and spirit in healing. For example, we often carry stress, sadness, anger, and trauma not only in our minds but our bodies as well. We can use our time in session to discuss the connection between mind and body.
Overall, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy as every one of us is unique. Therefore, I take time to listen, understand, and affirm your wants and needs to determine the best therapeutic approach.
Additional Education/Experience: B.A. in psychology and social behavior from UC Irvine, M.A. in marriage and family therapy from Hope International University. Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist.
